I am leaving on Sunday. And I'm not ready at all. I don't have a place to live, I perhaps have someone to live in my room. I've barely barely started packing. It's classic.

I have been lazy all day long. I was hoping to be out of my apartment by 11am but that did not happen. Tonight I am going to make Moroccan chicken with couscous. It will be the highlight of my day.

I have a head and throat cold. And a busy week and weekend. Ugh. But I believe I am consuming 3000% of my daily value of vitamin C. That's got to do something, right? Oh, and on the OC, Seth and Summer broke up but I think they might get back together. **fingers crossed**

Do you think tonight is my last night here? I hope so, but I doubt it. It has to be within the week because then I will be done. And I'm never listening to music when I update, but I could pretend that I am. Eating: blackberry milkshake. The category I also thought should be available. Avoiding: history paper on Mughal decline. I have had two people with the same name call me multiple times tonight and it keeps getting confusing. Same first letter of last name, too. I don't know...

OUGL now has a cafe open from 9pm until 2am and I am excited. I am going to go there as soon as I stop wasting time on LJ. I am done 3 weeks from today. A graduate! If I can finish this paper. ugh. I think I can. Tomorrow I am having a birthday party for my shrimp in my ecosphere. They will be one year old! I kept a pet for that long (actually 3 of them!), so it is something to celebrate. I am celebrating by eating shrimp-themed food. It is pretty disgusting but it should be fun. And a nice mid-week distraction.

Another update! About not much, but that is how life goes, now isn't it? Desi Dhamaka has funding. $4000! Plus what we had from last year. But I don't like to think about it. The quarter is flying by. More done than is left by a few weeks. Dianne has been here for a while. A third roommate and that is fun. Today we had delicious veggie hotdogs at CyberDog. I highly recommend that place. 9th and Pike, by the Convention Center. The woman who owns it is amusing. She made us wait and and kept on talking. I had some sort of Southern-themed dog. The owner said my meal would have been perfect if vegetarian shrimp were invented. But they aren't. It was still good. And tonight's dinner is veggie hot dogs and mac and cheese! Too much but good. Oh yes.

I haven't updated in a month and a half and according to my "Friends" section, I have none. Hmmm, no ! This quarter is flying by, as they always do. The only difference is that in 5 weeks I will be done instead of waiting for another one to start. Hmmm again. We will see what happens then. I've been applying for jobs. It would be exciting if I had more time to do it. I kind of hope I'm unemployed for a while so everything would slow down a little. Like a month. When I would really eat ramen. And drink water because it's included in my rent. All for now, maybe some studying?

I always update when I am avoiding things. Now it is my Senior Readings synthetic essay. Sen. Henry Jackson and the Neoconservatives. I finished my Qualifying Paper on Wednesday. Yay! Except I'm in the I'm-done mentality, except I'm really not. It was just such a huge stress relief. 34 pages including bibliography and figure 1. Too long. Ugh. But done! Now a paper and a final until winter break. This break will be okay. I'm going to be at the apt. the whole time. I have to work and I don't want to commute. 10 minutes vs. 1 hour. In the morning. Ugh. But I'll make some money, finish grad school apps, maybe see some people. I want to watch a lot of movies because I haven't seen anything. And people will be home!

I ate cookies for dinner and a lot of them. A DPO sisterhood event. It was fun. But for dinner? Sugar cookies and gingerbread cut-outs. Snowmen, trees, reindeer, stars, wreaths, and small wreaths. No men, though. You don't need them, I guess. Maybe...Now I am editing my paper, the parts I have written so far. 10 out of 25 pages. Not terribly bad. It's going to be a fun weeked.

10:48 pm - distraction

I have internet as of a little bit ago. Finally. Except my signal strength is very weak. Well, "low". I am not sure why. I am avoiding this terrible assignment for my IPE class. Creating flow diagrams of author's arguments on economic growth. It is going to take hours and hours and is for 0.5% of my overall grade. Even worth doing? I am not sure. It's the principal of not turning in an assignment I think, though. I can't bear to not do it but I don't want to. Ugh. Other than that... I have been a good GRE studier to avoid working on my qualifying paper. It's been variables and fractions or nuclear stability in South Asia. Take your pick. I pick the one involving less brain power. But it won't help me graduate.

My IPE (International Political Economy) TA can't do math and she gave me an extra point on my midterm. But she told us in class that if she did that don't tell her and run away. So that is what I am doing. Yay! Because that midterm sucked and I needed all the points I could get. In other news... I don't know. Class in a few minutes. Fun! Maybe it will be, discussion for forever. That's all we do in a small, small room.

Updating again from the library. I was here yesterday, too. Worked. Anything else? I have been eating a lot of lasagna.

We're moved in, sort of settled. I don't want to think about carrying anything down those 4 flights for a long time. Now all I want is internet access at my apt. I miss it. I haven't turned my computer on since I set it. Why would I need it - Spider Solitaire? Instead I obsessively watch the news. There's less to watch now, at least.
The three-day weekend was nice. I want another one ASAP and don't want school to start in a few weeks. I'll be okay, though.

Moving, packing, cleaning, etc. is not fun. I have so many chemicals on my skin - 409, Oxi 409, BAM Off!, Comet, Windex, it is so exciting! I am looking forward to Wednesday being over and being in my new apt. 42nd between 8th and 9th. Not as cool sounding as 41st and Brooklyn but I will deal. I think we will be ready in time. We have to be.
Oh, and I am still in my pajamas.

I haven't updated in two weeks. Kathryn Cooke has come and gone. She's always an adventure, memorable, etc. Good fun. Went to Canada, my parent's house a lot. Heard some disgusting, sometimes funny, things.
Work is getting better. I no longer sit around and I am excellent at making labels.
My current task is finding an apartment. Move out day is in 7.
